Saturday, April 12

BOYS LACROSSE

After falling behind 2-0, Bridgewater-Raynham rallied for a 10-3 win over Plymouth South behind ai 7-point day from Jayson Kelleher (4 goals, 3 assists).

Willy Robinson had 6 goals and an assist in Scituate's 14-10 win over Nauset.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Lexi Davos had 4 goals in Norwell's 11-2 win over Longmeadow.

Friday, April 11

SOFTBALL

Hanover's Abby Hanna went 5-for-5 with 2 home runs and 1 double to score 3 runs and collect 8 RBIs in a 20-4 win over Pembroke.Freshman Nora Barrett went 4-for-5 with a double, 5 runs with 3 RBIs. Abby Minasi (3 hits, triple), Noey Giardina (2-for-4, home run, 3 runs and 3 RBIs) and Talia Beer (first career home run, double and 2 RBIs) also had big days at the plate. Beer struck out seven in the circle.The Hawks' lineup recorded 21 hits.

Anna Iantosca hit her first varsity home run and Joey Whitney went 2-for-3 and drew a walk as Archbishop Williams overcame a six-run deficit to defeat Bishop Fenwick, 10-8. Ciara McMenamin allowed one earned run in 5 ⅓ innings of relief work.

Megan Arseneau, Anna Craft and Alannah Waters all hit home runs as Silver Lake defeated Duxbury, 12-0. Delaney Moquin allowed 2 hits and struck out 11 in five innings in the circle for the Lakers (3-0).

BASEBALL

Jason Nye, Tyler Pruitt and Ryan Baker all recorded hits in a three-run seventh inning as Whitman-Hanson outlasted Mansfield, 3-0. Pitcher Tommy Crowley struck out nine and allowed one earned run in five innings, and Shea Cote earned the win two shutout innings in relief for the Panthers (4-0).

Noah Mackenzie hit a home run, drew three walks and collected 2 RBIs as Plymouth North topped Hingham, 8-4. Matt Nardone went 3-for-3 with 2 RBIs in the win.

BOYS LACROSSE

Shane Mulcahy and Jack Mullaly each had hat tricks to lead Cohasset to a 9-6 win over Duxbury.

Peyton Volz tallied 4 goals in Southeastern's 7-4 win over Upper Cape Tech. Vince Cuzzi (2 goals), Ryan Chute (1 goal) and goalie Jacob Gillis (18 saves) also contributed for the Hawks.

James Hoey, Eamon Haley and Brady Hofeman (assist) each tallied 2 goals in South Shore Tech's 8-2 win over Cape Cod Tech. Ryan Belmarsh (goal), Mario LaRosa (1 goal, 2 assists) andBen Tondorf (2 assists) rounded out the Vikings' scoring.

Norwell's Joey McCarthy had 4 goals and Teddy Glynn had 3 assists in a 6-5 loss to Falmouth. Oliver Rice (goal), Jake McGuirk (assist) and Devyn Blige (10 saves) also contributed for the Clippers.

East Bridgewater's Robbie Mavilia scored the deciding goal in the final minute of an 8-7 win over Hull.

GIRLS LACROSSE

South Shore Tech's Kayla Nota exploded for 8 goals and 1 assist in a 15-4 win over Cape Cod Tech. Bella Humphreys (4 goals), Ava Miller (2 goals, 1 assist) and Julia Guarino (1 goal, 3 assists) rounded out the Vikings' scoring.

Emily Keefe (2), Audrey Lambert and Grace LaRose scored in Bridgewater-Raynham's 11-4 loss to Falmouth. Kate Lambert and Lacey Haikola each added an assist.

GIRLS TENNIS

Notre Dame Academy's Sophia Lirio won in first singles to settle a match vs. Milton, 3-2.

Brockton's Logan Lin (first singles), Shyrose Coddett (second singles), Isabella Renaud (third singles) and the duo of Endocia Nkurman and Micaela Cardoso(first doubles) earned wins in a 4-1 victory over Rockland.

Whitman-Hanson's duos of Sophie Ennis and Maddy Morris (6-3,6-1; first doubles), and Ciara Flynn and Rachel Boulger (6-2, 6-3; second doubles) powered the Panthers to a 3-2 win over Marshfield. Mari Santalucia won in third singles (6-3, 3-6, 6-1) for W-H.

Hannah Farber (first singles), Stella Zachos (second singles), Ada Visnauskis (third singles), and the tandem of Ava Barth and Emily Beaulieu earned wins in Oliver Ames' 4-1 victory over Stoughton.

Addie Woodgate (first singles), Audrey DiCenso (third singles), and the tandem of Liv Konchak and Grace Giglio (first doubles) secured victories in Archbishop Williams' 3-2 win at Arlington Catholic.

BOYS TENNIS

Banks Beckwith (6-0, 6-0; first singles), Wyatt Cooley (6-0, 6-0; second singles), Zach Foley (1-6, 6-2, 7-6, 17-15 tie break; third singles), the duo of Andrew Martin and Abraham Szumita (6-7, 6-2, 7-6, 9-7 tie break; first doubles) and the duo of Travis Conley and Kyle Magee (6-0, 6-1; second doubles) shined in Bridgewater-Raynham's sweep of New Bedford.

Logan Peterson ( 6-1, 6-1; third singles), the duo of Connor Thomas and Eoin Flynn (6-4, 6-2; first doubles) and the duo of Sebastian Petrus and James Denton (6-4, 4-6, 7-5; second doubles) won in Whitman-Hanson's 3-2 victory over Marshfield.

BOYS RUGBY

Hanover's Aidan Boutin scored three tries in a 36-12 win over Brookline.

Thursday, April 10

GIRLS TENNIS

Brockton defeated New Bedford, 5-0, behind wins by freshman Logan Lin (6-1, 6-0; first singles), sophomore Shyrose Coddett (8-6, 6-1; second singles), junior Isabella Renaud (6-0, 6-1; third singles) and the duos of Chidima Orisakwe and Lisa Bonnet(6-0, 7-5; first doubles) and Sadie Williams and Micaela Cardoso(6-4, 6-3; second doubles).

Archbishop Williams' Addie Woodgate (first singles) and Audrey DiCenso (third singles) played well in a 3-2 loss to Cardinal Spellman.

Norwell's Victoria Popova (6-3, 6-3; first singles), Kelsey Ouellette (6-3, 6-1; second singles) and Isabelle Bousquet (6-3, 6-0; third singles) earned individual wins in a 5-0 sweep of Middleboro.

BOYS LACROSSE

Milton dug out of a seven-goal halftime deficit to defeat Weymouth, 9-8, in double-overtime.

Jayson Kelleher and Colin Carfagna each had a hat trick as Bridgewater-Raynham defeated Dartmouth, 9-2. Sam Peabody, Braeden Silva and Matthew Holton also tallied goals for the Trojans, and goalie Shaun LaCivita made twelve saves.

Stoughton's Xavier Vicente, Anthony Ferreira and Major Hardingscored in a 20-3 loss to Attleboro. Goalie Joe Toupinmade 20 saves in the defeat, and Bryce Russo picked up an assist.

Kellan Balducci, Martin LeBlanc and Tristian Lamond all scored their first varsity goals in a 16-4 win over Whitman-Hanson. It was the first career win in net for goalie Jake Canny.

Hingham defeated Scituate, 17-10.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Weymouth's Mira Flaherty recorded her 200th career point in a 15-8 win vs. Milton. Molly Keenan also played well in the Wildcats' victory.

Hingham's Grace Maroney exploded for 6 goals and 3 assists in an 18-8 win over Scituate. Caroline Connolly (4 points, 5 draw controls), Maeve Maroney (2 goals), Kylie McAloon (2 goals), Jenna Varholak (2 goals) also headlined the offense in the win. Defenders Caroline Leahy, Emily Kiernan and Libby Rogers also contributed to the victory.

Braintree's Bella Duffy tallied 5 goals, 1 draw controls and 1 ground ball in an 8-5 loss to Needham. Mia Francis (2 assists, 4 draw controls, ground ball) and defender Frankie Mazzini also played well.

Hanover's Sophie Schiller (4 goals) and Abigail Keith (3 goals, 1 assist) starred to headline a 7-5 win over Whitman-Hanson. Kathryn Jones and Josephine McCarthy also scored for the Hawks. Ava Puzzangara and Hannah Geary (10 ground balls) played well in transition in the win. Lily O'Donnell (3 goals), Shannon Balfe (2 goals 1 assist), Abby Nash (1 goal, 1 assist), Aoife Flynn (assist) and Evan Nunes (3 assists) shined for Whitman-Hanson.

SOFTBALL

West Bridgewater seventh-grader Regan Bryant struck out 20 batters, and drove in the tying and winning runs with a seventh-inning double, as the Wildcats defeated Bourne, 5-4. Seventh-grader Emma Croce (3-for-3, RBI) also starred for WB.

Grace Lynch hit a three-run home run and drove in four runs in a four-hit day as Middleboro defeated Norwell, 14-0. Taryn Clancy struck out 13 and allowed three hits and one walk in the win.

Hanover's Abby Hanna (2-for-3), Noey Giardina (2-for-3, two runs) and Talia Beer (double) shined at the plate in an 8-4 loss to Plymouth South.

Weymouth's Jill Ondrick struck out 15 batters in a 2-1 win over Braintree. Bella Pires hit an RBI double in the seventh inning to score Willa Abbott and take the lead late. Abby Reed (2-for-4, run) and Maddie Smith (RBI) also contributed for the Wildcats.

East Bridgewater's Riley Egan (3-for-3) scored the winning run in a 4-3 victory over Mansfield. Maggie Schlossberg struck out 9 and recorded a hit. Bella Abrams and Kenzie Whitman also tallied hits for the Vikings.

Milton lost to Dedham, 12-11.

BASEBALL

Whitman-Hanson's Jacob Getchell struck out eight and allowed one hit in six scoreless innings in a 9-1 win over Hanover. Caine Allen, Tyler Pruitt and Ryan Baker each recorded multiple hits for the Panthers (3-0).

Middleboro's Kyle DeSciscio settled a 1-0 win over Norwell with a walk-off base hit. Pitcher Cameron Hohmann (4 hits, 1 earned run, 3 Ks) and Will Corbin (2-for-3) played well for the Clippers.

Hull's Nate Tiani (3-for-4), John Reynolds (2-for-2) and PJ Riviecchio recorded hits in a 14-4 loss to Cohasset.

North Quincy defeated Pembroke, 4-0.

Wednesday, April 9

BASEBALL

Weymouth's Jack Reyes narrowly missed out on a no-hitter with a 1-hit, 12-strikeout complete-game shutout in a 5-0 win over Milton. Scott Longo struck out 8 over 5 innings and only gave up 1 hit for Milton.

Jordan Medeiros struck out 21 batters in a two-hit, complete-game effort to lift Avon (2-0) over Bristol Aggie 6-0. Luke Burns had 2 hits and 2 RBIs for the Panthers.

Ryan Baker (5 innings, 1 earned run, 12 Ks) earned his first win of the season as Whitman-Hanson beat Plymouth South 4-3. Caine Allen had the go-ahead RBI in the 7th inning and got the two-inning save on the mound. Tyler Pruitt had 2 RBIs on 2 hits.

Harrison Fitzpatrick hit two doubles and scored a run as Oliver Ames topped Foxborough 4-3. Ryan Johnson and Alex Saade pitched well for the Tigers in the win.

Hull shutout Norfolk Aggie 14-0. Liam Conneely got the win, pitching a 5-inning no-hitter, striking out 7. Nate Tiani and Luke Dunham both went 3-for-4 in the win.

Rhys Adair threw a complete game as Plymouth North (2-0) beat Hanover 6-5. Matt Nardone and Conor McLeish combined for 4 hits and 3 RBIs.

Hingham walked off against Scituate 5-4 with a Chase Burns RBI-single in the bottom of the seventh.

North Quincy beat Marshfield 6-5.

Southeastern took down Cape Cod tech 5-2.

SOFTBALL

Noey Giardina's three-run homer in the sixth inning helped Hanover complete a comeback victory over Plymouth North 11-8. For Plymouth South, Samantha Moschella went 4-for-4 at the plate with 4 RBIs and Maggie Fabry went 2-for-3 with two doubles and three runs.

Sofia Blanco had an 11-strikeout outing in Marshfield's (3-0) 17-0 win over Quincy/North Quincy. Blanco also had three hits. Madelyn Whitaker had 4 RBIs for the Rams.

Plymouth South beat Whitman-Hanson 14-2. Emily McNaught went 1-for-2 with an RBI and Emily Cooke went 2-for-3 for the Panthers in the loss.

Foxboro beat Oliver Ames 9-6. Taylor Marino pitched 7 innings and went 2-4 at the plate for OA. Katie Berg and Jackie Solimine both went 2-for-4 in the loss.

Cardinal Spellman beat Archbishop Williams 8-7 in extra innings. Kiley Dolan got a single and a double in extras, scoring the winning run. Avery Barnes earned the win for the Cardinals.

Middleboro won 15-1 over Durfee, led by Taylynn Robinson's four-hit, four-RBI game. Tristan Maher pitched 5 innings, giving up one run on five hits and striking out nine.

Bridgewater-Raynham beat Greater New Bedford RVT 5-4. Alyvia Buccheri scored the winning run on a wild pitch. Madi DeLano got the win, going 8 innings with 7 strikeouts.

Jessie Tse had 9 strikeouts and allowed 6 hits in Fontbonne's 15-3 win over Holbrook. Shannon Hubbard went 3-for-3 abd Molly Forde went 2-for-3 with a 3-run homer.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Kayla Nota notched 4 goals and an assists for South Shore Tech in a 18-10 loss to Tri-County. Ava Miller also had 3 goals in the loss.

Emily Keefe (7 goals, assist) led Bridgewater-Raynham to a 13-2 win over Fontbonne to help the Trojans advance to 4-0 on the season. The Trojans also got strong games from Ashley McLaren (2 goals, 3 assists), and Claire Fitzsimmons (2 goals, 1 assist).

Hingham fell to Westwood 15-12. In the loss, Grace Maroney had 4 goals, an assists, and 6 draw controls, and Caroline Connolly had 4 goals and 9 draw controls.

Hull beat East Bridgewater 14-2 behind Georgia White's 4 goals. Elly Thomas and Erin Walsh both had hat tricks in the victory.

Mia Radzik had a hat trick as Rockland beat Abington to improve to 4-2 on the season.

Duxbury beat North Quincy 15-2.

BOYS LACROSSE

Matthew Grafton led Abington to a 15-5 win over Mashpee with 5 goals and 3 assists.

Mario LaRosa netted 2 goals and 2 assists as South Shore Tech beat Tri-County 8-5. James Hoey and Bend Tondorf each had 2 goals and an assist in the win.

Jake McGurik had 5 assists and 2 goals in Norwell's 19-2 win over Middleboro. Oliver Rice scored four goals and had four assists, and Teddy Glynn had a hat trick with an assist.

Duxbury beat Quincy 16-0.

GIRLS OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD

Whitman-Hanson won it's season opener over Silver Lake. Molly Burnett (100), McKenna McCarthy (800), Willa McKay (400), Mya Andrews (1 mile), Chloe Handlin (400 hurdles), Keryn Stone (shot put), and Sadie McKay all won their events. The 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams also captured first.

Norwell beat Rockland 95-41. Norwell got wins from Cooper Young (100), Ariana Veneto (200, 400 hurdles), Katherine Murray (400), Audrey Birtwell (800), Hadley Amon (1 mile),Hallie Robitaille (2 mile), Abigail Shaw (100 hurdles, triple jump), Alexandra Ning (Javelin), and Evie Donovan (high jump). Rockland got wins from Emilee Dunham (long jump), Ella Hutchinson (discus), and Kamilla Magalhaes (shot put).

Hull lost 81-35 to Abington. Elsie Harper won four events (shot put, long jump, 100 hurdles, 400 hurdles), and Bree Simpson-Sliney won the high jump. Harper qualified for states in the 100 and 400 hurdles and Simpson-Sliney qualified in the high jump and 100 hurdles.

BOYS OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD

Silver Lake beat Whitman-Hanson 76-60. For the Panthers, Thiago Magalhaes (100), Kevin Brzuszek (200, long jump, and triple jump), Ben Andrews (1 mile), Nolan Keyes (400 hurdles), Sean Donovan (discus) all won their events. The Whitman-Hanson 4x100 relay team of Magalhaes, Brzuszek, Brady Markowski, and Travis Barros also won.

Norwell beat Rockland 89-47. Griffin Murphy (200), Same Pesko (400), Joshua Edelman (800, 2 mile), Aidan Coyle (1 mile), Harrison Campbell (110 hurdles) Noah Mulligan (400 hurdles, long jump, triple jump), and Rophil Ngnintoundem (shot put) all won their events. Rockland got event wins from Lucas Bahnuk (high jump) Michael Harlow (Javelin, discus), and James McCrorey (100).

Hull fell to Abington 83-53. Michael Cimetti (triple jump) and Lawrence Bodley (high jump, long jump, 100) won their events. Bodley (high jump, 100, 200), Christopher Resnick (110 hurdles, 100 meters), and Iktan Guzman (400 hurdles) all qualified for states.

GIRLS TENNIS

Hannah Farber, Stella Zachos both got singles wins in Oliver Ames' 4-1 win over Foxboro. Pairs Emily Beaulieu/Ava Barth and Abby Borden/Ada Visnauskis both took the doubles matches for OA.

Whitman-Hanson defeated Plymouth South 3-2. Mari Santalucia won her match at 3rd singles, first doubles pair Sophie Ennis and Maddy Morris, and 2nd doubles Ciara Flynn and Rachel Boulger both won their matches.

Duxbury won 5-0 over Pembroke.

BOYS TENNIS

Sandwich beat Middleboro 3-2. For the Sachems, Nathan Berube and Trey Baker both won their singles matches for the Sachems.

Banks Beckwith continued his winning streak with another match win at 1st singles, but Bridgewater-Raynham lost 4-1.

Norwell beat Randolph 4-1. Luca Moretti and Ben Garland won their singles matches.

GIRLS GOLF

Marley Hamilton, Genevieve Taylors, Ava Welch, Catherine Fitzsimmons, Lucy Frazier, Gray Capilli, Isabelle Sundstrom andUla Gudmand all won their matches in Duxbury's 6-0 win over Cohasset. The Skippers got a strong round from Zoe Wilco.

Scituate beat Silver Lake to improve to 2-0 on the season. Alyssa Paine, Juliet Finn, Lila Watkins and Sophie Murray all got wins for the Sailors.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

North Quincy beat Scituate in straight sets.

Randolph edged Waltham-Weston 3-2.

Tuesday, April 8

SOFTBALL

Silver Lake's Delaney Moquin pitched a perfect game with 11 strikeouts in a 2-0 win over Plymouth North. Alannah Waters was 2-for-4 with a grand slam for the Lakers (2-0), and Maddy Bryan (3-for-4) and Elise Tartaglione (3-for-3) also starred at the plate.

East Bridgewater's Maggie Schlossberg struck out 12 a 19-5 win over Norwell. Riley Egan and Maddie Blette each drove in 5 runs for the Vikings.

Middleboro's Olivia Hartman was 4-for-5 with a triple in a 14-2 win over Sandwich. Winning pitcher Taryn Clancy struck out 13 over 6 innings, allowing 5 hits and 2 runs. Makenzie Roberts had a 2-run triple for the Sachems, and Grace Lynch added 2 hits, including a double, and an RBI.

BASEBALL

Archbishop Williams' Bennett Menghi, of Braintree, hit a pair of home runs, drove in 4 runs and scored 3 runs while also earning the win on the mound with 3 innings of work in a 10-7 win over Boston Latin School. Charlie Kreuz had 2 doubles, 2 RBIs and 2 runs, and Nathan Killion (2 hits, 2 runs), Chase Dennison (first career hit) and Nolan Swirbalus (2 hits, 2 RBIs) also starred for the Bishops (1-2).

Three BC High pitchers, including winner Adam Bushley, combined on a 4-hitter in a 13-3 win over Xaverian. Brody Beale had a pair of doubles and 3 RBIs, and Gustavo Bosques (double, 3 RBIs), Wyatt Miller (double, 2 RBIs) and John Nichols (3 hits, 2 RBIs) also starred for the Eagles.

Holbrook's Angel Calderon was 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs in a 17-7 win over Norfolk Aggie. Owen LaMonica was the winning pitcher for the Bulldogs (2-1).

Plymouth North's Danny Kenney allowed one hit and a run over 5 innings with 6 strikeouts in a 9-2 win over Silver Lake. Will Novak (3-for-4) and Matt Nardone (1-for-3, 2 RBIs) starred at the plate.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Braintree was led by Bella Duffy (4 goals, 4 assists, 9 draw controls, 4 ground balls), Mia Francis (4 goals, 4 draw controls) and Molly Hearon (goal, 4 assists).

Bridgewater-Raynham's Emily Keefe had 3 goals and 3 assists in a 10-5 win over Dartmouth. Ashley McLaren, Grace LaRose (2 assists) and Claire Fitzsimmons each added a pair of goals for the Trojans (3-0), and Ainsley Yates made 5 saves.

Duxbury's Caroline Villarin scored 5 goals, and Gabby Fisher added a hat trick in a 14-2 win over Quincy.

BOYS LACROSSE

Abington's Matthew Grafton had a pair of goals and 6 assists in a 13-6 win over Oliver Ames. Lee Spry (3 goals, assist), Gunner Hanna (2 goals) and Tate Eriksen (2 goals) also starred for the Green Wave.

Braintree's Garoid Stones broke a tie with 7 seconds left in a 10-9 win over Weymouth that gave coach Timmy Lynch his first victory at the Wamps' helm. Stones and Owen Murphy each scored 4 goals, and Cameron Barron made 15 saves.

Scituate's James Trombly and Luke Spaulding each had 4 goals and 2 assists in a 13-2 win over Whitman-Hanson. Freshman defender Manny Lopes scored his first varsity goal for the Sailors (3-1). Brady Johnson made 8 saves for the Panthers in the loss.

Bridgewater-Raynham's Shaun LaCivita made 15 saves and Colin Carfagna scored twice in an 11-2 loss to Mansfield.

GIRLS OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD

Canton's Grace Martinek won the long jump, triple jump, 100m and 200m in an 81-55 win over Stoughton. Chloe Dubuisson won the 400m hurdles and 100m hurdles.

Blue Hills' Nailani Ridore (triple jump) and Juliette Alonso (400m) each set new school records in winning their events in an 85-50 loss to Southeastern. Alonso also won the 400m hurdles. Other winners for Blue Hills (1-1) were Abrielle Walker (200m) and Alexis D'Arcy (800m).

BOYS OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD

Canton's JJ Faulk won the long jump (20-8), triple jump and 200m (:23.3) in a 92-44 loss to Stoughton. He also anchored the winning 4x100m relay team (:44.7) with Christian Hanlon, Kareem Chaplin II and Zach Sanon. Gnepo Effrem also picked up two second-place finishes in the shot put (40-9) and discus (108-9).

GIRLS GOLF

Scituate's Alyssa Paine earned her first varsity win at No. 1, and Juliet Finn won at No. 2 in a 4-2 victory over Cohasset.

Duxbury beat Quincy/North Quincy, 6-0, getting wins from Marley Hamilton (4 and 3), Ava Welch (4 and 3), Genevieve Taylor (4 and 3), Isabelle Sundstrom (1-up), Lucy Frazier (5 and 3), Lauren Reilly (4 and 2), Lilly Tuffin (5 and 4) and Avery McCash (5 and 4). Ellie Berlin played well for Q/NQ.

Monday, April 7

GIRLS LACROSSE

Freshman Mackenzie Gray scored 6 goals in Southeastern's 12-11 loss to Tri-County.

Emma Connerty scored 5 goals in Notre Dame Academy's 16-4 win over Wellesley.
